Advocates are groups of citizens that try to improve quality of care for nursing home residents in their state. This includes trying to create better staffing levels, quality care delivered, and respect of resident rights. Anyone that is concerned about nursing home residents and want things that effect long term care to improve, should look into joining an advocate group in your state.
