Advocates Organizations

CNA advocates are concerned citizens that try to improve quality of care for the residents they care for in their state. This includes trying to create better staffing levels, quality care delivered, and respect of resident rights.

The advocate groups below are for everyone that has a concern for the quality long-term care and services. They provide support and quality of life for residents and consumers in their state and not just for CNAs.  Anyone that is concerned about nursing home residents and want things that effect long term care to improve, should look into joining an advocate group in their state.

Here are some of the things that advocate groups are involved in

  • They researches policies, state laws and regulations that have an effect on the care for the elderly and disabled
  • They advocates for state and national policies to improve care and address the systemic problems in the delivery of long term care
  • Identifies good practices and develops recommendations to improve care and dignity of the elderly and disabled, and improved working environments for professional caregivers
  • They also teach and empower the elderly and disabled to advocate for themselves
  • Actively engage the government agencies and elected officials in dialogue and action on the desired changes.
