California CNA II Training

In California to become a CNA 2 individuals can either take the Acute Care CNA training or the Restorative Care CNA training.

Acute Care CNA Training
The California CNA Acute Care Training program will prepare you for employment in acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities. Students will receive instruction on both the theory and skills training that will provide them with the necessary skills to work in acute care facilities. Students must be a certified nursing assistant before getting into this program.

Restorative Care
The program Certifies the California certified nursing assistant to work with the physical and/ or occupational therapist in the skilled nursing home. The job is to provide skills, exercise and encouragement to the resident to perform as many of their own ADL’s as possible.
