Hawaii CNA Training programs
CNA Hawaii Certification Requirements:
- Complete a state-approved HI CNA training program
- Pass the state's CNA competency examination (which contains both written and skills assessments)
- Pass a criminal history background check
CNA Hawaii training programs contain the following minimum elements:
- 100 hours of total training
- 30 hours of classroom learning
- 70 hours of clinical, practical training (consisting of 30 hours of basic nursing training, 30 hours of personal care training, and 10 hours of restorative care training)
- Instruction from a Registered Nurse with at least two years of professional experience
