In the past several years there has been an increasing demand for Certified Nursing Assistants in non-traditional work settings.  That is one of the greatest things about choosing to become a CNA. There are many different work environments available to you.

What is an Adult Daycare?
Adult daycare centers are just as the name sounds.  They typically operate five days a week during normal business hours. However, some of them do offer services after hours, on weekends and during holidays.  These centers are becoming more popular as many families are juggling working and caring for children of their own. 

Adult Day Center gives clients opportunities to meet and socialize with other individuals.  They offer care services as well as recreational activities for clients. They also give families of clients opportunities to keep their jobs and to provide a break without worrying about their loved one.
Requirements to Work in an Adult Daycare
Aside from earning your CNA certification, you generally don’t need any special training to work as an adult daycare Nursing assistant. However, it can certainly make your resume more appealing and boost your chances of securing employment in an adult daycare center if have professional caregiving experience.

Working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an adult daycare center your salary will vary depending on several factors including your employer, city and state, experience, and credentials. The average salary that has been reported in the past few years is slightly higher than the average yearly salary for all CNAs, which is around $26,250.
