Home Health Aide Training in Bronx
There are several agencies that are offering home health aide training in the Bronx in order to cater to the need for the profession. Finding a HHA class in the Bronx isn’t hard. The training teaches its students to take care of patients who are ill or physically impaired in their homes. All home health aides in Bronx New York must effectively complete a HHA training and competency exam.
Home Health Aide training requirements in Bronx New York are similar to those required by the federal government. Seventy five hours of training which includes 16 hours of supervised hands on patient care. The practical part of the class must be provided in a patient care setting and be 50% of the supervised training. The HHA training in Bronx curriculum provided by the institutions is based on the mandated curriculum of the New York state for home health aide training.
All of the necessary exams and certifications must be passed in order to become employed in any of the numerous HHA in the area. Most graduates who pass the final exam receive job placement and are generally offered employment.
