.If you want to learn how to become a CNA then you will probably know that you require CNA certification. The company and website prometric.com is a world leader in providing testing and assessment across a broad spectrum of subjects. They have testing centers in most US states, Europe and Africa and is probably the leading testing center for taking CNA examinations. Both corporations and many State Board of Nursing organizations across the United States now give this testing agency responsibility for their CNA competence exam.

What does a Prometric CNA test involve?

After the student has completed their CNA training, including both classroom coursework and practical clinical training. They will become eligible to apply for the state CNA certification exam which is taken in various Prometric testing centers across the country. The Prometric CNA exam contains a written and performance based test, all done on computer and taken in a normal testing environment. The test has multiple choice questions and has normally no less than 50 questions that have to be completed within a certain time limit.

Prometric CNA Test Drive

Before taking your CNA examination with Prometric, you can if you wish undertake a practice test or test drive as they call it on their website. All the details on the Prometric test drive can found here on the website.

Basically the test drive will give you an experience on what is involved in the examination experience, from start to finish in around 30 minutes. You format of the practice test drive will look like this:

•Go through the registration process just like you would for the real examination
•Complete the check-in procedure
•An intro to the testing center employees/tutors and your testing surroundings
•Completion of a live 15 minute sample
•Plus full preparation for your real test

You will be able to get a feel for what is involved before you take the CNA test for real and the test drive will take place at the same testing center that you will attend for your Prometric CNA test. The Prometric CNA practice test is only available one day a week on a Tuesday. There is a cost involved and is around the $30 mark.

You can then apply for the Prometric CNA testing exam online at prometric.com who will provide the location a regional testing center that is closest for you to attend.

I hope this has given you an idea on how to become a CNA with Prometric testing. With a countrywide shortage of Certified Nursing Assistants, there has never been a better time to consider a move into the medical profession by becoming a CNA.
